Help needed to find headset that won't bombard friends with background noise!

Hello - I really need some help, so any suggestions would be great! I play pc games - a lot of Counterstrike - therefore I need to hear everything clearly in game, but I live in a very loud house and need a headset that won't force all of the background noise onto my friends. Could anyone recommend a good headset for this that won't compromise on audio quality for me?
