Hello so i have tinkered with amplifiers alot but i can't seem to make my 5.1 setup work, so maybe some of you can figure it out.

First i have old samsung HT-TZ422T 5.1 speakers with passive subwoofer. For amplifier i have Pioneer VSX-817 7.1, i also have Kenwood Ka-1030 2 channel amplifier.

Can i use Kenwood somehow to get subwoofer working as it should ? right now i have it crossed left and right channels. Also i think surround back right + channel isnt working so i crossed back channels together

I have toslink between amplifier and tv

Solution
Subout of the receiver goes to any input on the Kenwood BUT phono so let's use CD. You only use one RCA input so let's use the right. Connect the speaker wire from the subwoofer to the right channel speaker terminal.
Turn on the integrated amp. Select CD. Set the volume to 12 o'clock. Leave it on.
Now do the set up on the receiver which will set the relative levels of all the speakers and the delays. You may here noise coming from the woofer but unlike the other speakers you adjust the subwoofer level to taste from your seating position. You can adjust the level of the sub from the receiver with the remote or the integrated amp if you want more gain.
This might help...
So the easiest seems using the Samsung all by itself since the speakers sound like made for it. I has an optical in so that should work.

The Pioneer possibly has more codec (modes), is a spiffier box but needs an Active sub so if u want to use this box, hook up your front/rear as normal then for the sub: Pioneer SUB PREOUT ---> Kenwood (use one channel only) ---> Sub.

Alright again thanks alot for helping, i have red manual set subwoofer on, set the right db and hz settings.
My cables should be correct, right ? https://imgur.com/a/xKYSe0o white cable isnt going anywhere i have it off by now. Kenwood is set to cd, and subwoofer speaker wires are set right - i get sound from subwoofer if i tinker with cables. Problem with port ?
