It is good that you're not considering AMD due to their overheating issues. Check if there are laptops available in your budget which have 8GB of RAM, 1TB HDD, at least an i5 with a high clockspeed and a 2GB graphics card. I know that Asus has some laptops like these. Also, why not buy a cheap gaming PC and then buy something like a Netbook? PCs are obviously better for gaming and processing and when you're on the move, you can use your Netbook. If you live in a cold country, AMD is just fine and there are many YouTube videos in which they give you info about Gaming PCs which are for about 400GBP. Consider my advice if you plan on playing games like BF3 and BF4 at fairly high resolutions compared to a laptop. Also, a laptop will generate more heat and this may limit practicality. Hope this helped. Cheers!

Oh... I'm sorry... If you aren't looking for gaming then either the IdeaPad or the Essential B5400 are the best. If you require more RAM and plan on multitasking, go for the IdeaPad due to its better RAM. However, if you won't require that much RAM, go for the Essential B5400... Both have 1GB GPUs, however, the Essential B5400 has a higher clockspeed and a better GPU. While the IdeaPad may be good at multitasking.
