Help! When removing malware Chrome seems to readd it

TLDR; After launching Chrome it readds the malware I just removed
A bit of an accident happened recently and I got some form of malware which installed a bunch of stuff on my computer, I used several tools to get rid of it all (I followed this guide). There's one thing which I can't get removed though, it's something that is in the profiles folders for Chrome, and I've noticed through the Chrome console that it is contacting some IP in China. AdwCleaner finds 2 things in Chrome when I run it, and removes it, but when I launch Chrome again those two folders re appear, I think it's trying to sync extensions but I can't find a place to remove this within Chrome either (it's not in the extensions list). How do I get rid of it?

Check the hosts file on your pc.

You should be able to open and edit the file via Notepad.
