Help with a new Asus notebook

Just got an Asus notebook PC. the @ sign won't work-get a " symbol instead. . All the other "top" symbols seem to be fine. Please advice 0-:

You can RMA the laptop, use an USB keyboard or use ALT+64 from the numpad for @.
Using the English keyboard?

Sending it back for replacement or repair under warranty. Contact the reseller.

try using shift+2 for the @ symbol. If that works then you've accidentally chosen a US keyboard
if you want the shift+2 to give the quotation marks then try to get an @ from shift and the 'comma key' (just left of hash). If that works you've accidentally chosen a UK keyboard. just switch between them until you find what you're used to
