I have a HP laptop with Windows Vista and ordered recovery disc from HP three times, but the recovery still fails.Someone told me to go to HP site and download drivers and burn DVd or CD for the recovery.I understand I must have a burning software to do this, but do I download the drivers through the burning software and then burn the dvd or Cd for the recovery. Also when I dowload drivers ,do I click on Run,or Save?Sorry not very experienced with computers.
Please help!!!!!!!!!!

Hello,

i am not an expert either but i will say something of my experience with Acer and it might help you. When i decided to put Vista and i made the installation when i first turned on my pc it asked for drivers. So, i went to Acer Web page and downloaded the drivers missing. I clicked Run because i did not want to save the drivers to my hard disk for another time that it might be needed. But, when i need those drivers a year after it was not available because Acer did not still support this model. I used my laptop with problems for about one year-When i bought it four years time it costed a lot and i had no money to replace it-. Finally i thought to visit Acer service in my area. Οf course, the kept about 30€ for the service but i asked on leaving a file in my disk that will include all the drivers of my notebook. Perhaps, if you are under quaranttee period they dont charge you anything. :hello:

Every time I run the recovery disc, which takes 3 hrs.,I get the message that the recovery fails in VideoLog file.I've replaced with a new hard drive, but it still fails in this file.I've spoken with HP and told them the recovery disc are faulty, but they won't reconize that the disc are faulty. So I'm on my own with trying to fix the problem.I've read on several forums of many having the same problem and they say to download the srivers from Hp site and burn to Cd or DVd,but I don't know if I'm suppose to dowload the drivers from the burning software and then burn the CD or DVd from there,or if I'm suppose to dowload the drivers to a folder and burn from the folder.Hp definately sells Faulty products and don't stand behind such.
Thanks
