Help with headset.

I bought a lenovo P950N headset and they only have one single jack for both microphone and headphones but whereever i plug them in the mic does not work. How can i fix that and use the mic. Tried in pink, green and blue but the mic does not work

You would need a headphone jack splitter. although as long as you get a female to male adapter you should be ok.
