Help with laptop purchase

I need a dependable laptop that will support me for the next 4 yrs. in school. I basically will use the office suite, internet, watch movies and upload pics. I'm looking at a ACER Intel core i5 7200U 2.5hz for 499.00 on sale only this weekend. Is this a smart dependable laptop?

Hard to say because even a laptop that costs $1,500 can breakdown on you in 4 years.
