Thank you jsmithepa. I have a Samsung SmartTV and an HKSB20 hooked up on to it with an arc hdmi. I have a laptop hooked up on to my TV hmdi (not arc) too. I am forced to have to switch on my SB20 everytime i need to hear sound from it. It goes off automatically, i really don't know after how long and it is not waken up by sound. I have to manually put it on myself if I need to hear the sound. I think it goes off in less than 10mins of being silent. So this frustreates me because I need to hear notifications that go off on my laptop. I do other things while working so If I get notification say of a message, sometime I have to respond immediately, so this means with my current set up I have to sit infront of the screen the entire time to not miss these notifications or I will have to disconnect the sb20. I hope I am making sense.

automatic turn off suggests a power saving feature being enabled. DISABLE IT.
