hi i had both screens working through hdmi to tv. i then tried to change settings so i only had tv screen on and laptop sceen blank.but i have managed to make both screens blank. how is this possible to fix

Disconnect the TV connection, reboot the computer, should bring up the screen on it. If not, there should be a hotkey to swap video signals on the laptop.
