hi , I m suresh here, i have the same problem of black screen but power led glows n charging light on while charging and orange light glows as it glows normally. My laptop is SONY VAIO E SERIES VPCEB46FG. I also tried taking RAM off n battery also but there is no relief. I tried all shortcut keys FN + F7 blah blah but NO. Please suggest what to do.

Have you tried... turning off the laptop, connect an external monitor, turn on the external monitor and then turn on the laptop. Can you see the desktop on the external monitor? If so, then the problem lies in the connected display.

It may be the ribbon able that connects it, or even the display itself.

If you can't see it on the external monitor either, then you probably have a bad graphics card.
