Hi I haven’t used my laptop in a while and I wished to use it today.Last time I checked it was fine screen working and everything but know when I turn it on the power button lights up and everything working except the screen.It just black and I do not wish to spend any money what should I do?

How are you verifying everything is working except the screen? Lights and sound isn''t really enough.

Have you tried connecting the laptop to a monitor or television?
