I have heard many things about HiFi speakers, but I am wanting to set
up a little home cinema system in my room. Now I have two Hifi
speakers that are now longer used with the Hifi. is there any way to
hook them up to my PC. If I need to buy extra things then I wanna hear
about it. Cheers.

Broadly speaking, the amplifiers built into a sound card (or even an outboard
audio system) will not have enough power to drive these speakers to a satisfying
level.

You will probably need a separate amplifier, driven from the line outputs of
your sound card.

M-Audio makes sound cards with phono connector 'line level' outputs.
These can also be used to direct monitor the other inputs to the card.

I run mine to the aux inputs of a 30 year old Pioneer SX-990 amplifier
and use Tannoy 6.5's and Klipsch KG-4s for my 'net' oriented toy box
in a stereo configuration.

There are a number a cheaper soundcards on which a variety of the
inputs can be converted to use as outputs to gain access to quad and
surround capabilities.

You'll need an amplifier between computer Line Out and speakers.
Any hi-fi amp will do.
