High Pitched sound

Hello,
I just purchased a 2000 watt Pyle stereo receiver and hooked my speakers to it. About every 2 minutes on the dot it makes a high pitched sound for about 5 to 7 seconds then goes away until the next 2 minutes creep around. I've unhooked the cd player that's hooked up and you can hear the sound still. I've tried unhooking the speakers and trying them 1 by 1 and the sound still persist. I figure it has something to do with the reciever but I dont know what. Thanks for any help anyone can give me. Clint

Sounds like you need to RMA that Pyle. Get something better. Less functions more quality. The power rating is basically a lie so a $100 Best Buy receiver will have more power. A used stereo receiver is another option.
