High spec laptop eh?

Based on the GPU, it's not even considered mid tier. Refund it and get a quality GPU.

well i dont want a massively gaming one, i want it to run 2 games with decent FPS, arma 2 and Battlefield 3. On that can you run it website it said would easily, but the FPS is poor there must be something to make it run slightly faster.

Then they lied to you, you will be able to play on low but that's the best you can get and it will be around 30-40 FPS.

What site are you talking about? Can You Run It? Do not use that site, it isn't configured and set up properly to give you REAL performance outputs for all games.

Skyrim isn't GPU intensive so you should be able to play that on low-medium at 1920x1080.

Vrumor your no help. What do you mean stay clueless? I now know that this Laptop isnt "High End" but if it runs games at low or medium then im happy with that! All i wanted really was tips on how to make an FPS slightly better. But dont worry your obviously ignorant to that fact :)

Gamebooster only helps in that it closes programs that are running in the background and it will free up any CPU intensive programs, but you have an i7 CPU so it won't be of any help unless the programs in the background are sucking up RAM, which most don't.

In the end, your GPU is the only thing that is hindering your performance. I know you don't want a big laptop for gaming, but for portability you need to spend around $1000-$1500 for a decent gaming experience on the go. MSI and Clevo laptops are very good with this.

If you live in the U.S. you can customize a barebones laptop for around $1,200.

If you are going to look for a laptop then look for a i5 and a GTX 660m or 670m. On RJTech you can get a 15.6" screen with a i5 and a GTX 670m for around $1100 from Clevo and that includes a hard drive(750GB).

If you want better cooling then you can get the same from MSI for $100 more.

I would do a build for you on RJTech but the site doesn't allow saving the build and/or linking it. If you need anymore help then by all means PM me or message here again if need be.

Good luck. Hope you didn't pay too much for that ASUS.
