I have a unique problem. I want to connect two CD players to each other so I can use the one to amplify the sound of the other one. I want to send audio through a speaker wire to another CD player in another room. Then I want to convert it to a 3.5mm cord so the other CD player can pick it up and send it through to other speakers. Is this possible? I can't use the headphone jack because it mutes the speakers connected and I want to use them simultaneously.

Solution
Makes and model numbers would help since "CD players" don't have speaker terminals or inputs. I suspect you have two systems with built in cd players.
If the main unit has speaker out you can run 2 pairs of speaker wires from the same set of terminals or the B speakers. At the other unit you will need one of these to convert to a line level input.

The only complication is that the volume of the main cd unit will affect the volume of the second one.
