Home Theatre as 5.1 Surround on PC

Okay so I have Samsung HT-THX25 home theatre system and I hooked it up to a pc via 3.5 audio jack that goes out of it but there's a problem. PC doesn't recognise speakers individualy, just center and woofer, and sound is not properly played, for example center plays most of the sounds, both front some and both back none. How do I set it up to work ?

Via a single 3.5mm? No that wouldn't work. You really want to use a digital connection as it's the easiest way to connect 5.1. Do you have digital coax or optical on both pc soundcard and your sound system?

No, I don't have one on neither sides.

Ok I looked it up, the only way to get 5.1 with that system is through the HDMI. The Aux input will only give a sudo stereo where it distributes stereo to the 5.1 speakers which is what you described it's doing

I have HDMI out on HT and in on my GPU, will it work if I connect it like that ?

It should, under playback devices in Windows you will need to set it to HDMI

I found out that my HT does not have HDMI in, just out. I have to find other way to connect PC and HT.
Here are the ports (sorry for bad angles, can't really move everything just for photos)

(AUX In is where 3.5mm cable is connected)

Sorry I missed that, I thought it had a HDMI in but it doesn't. In which case your stuck, the only 5.1 source is from the DVD player, you have no 5.1 input

I have these 5.1 ports in HT, should I have them in PC or what ?

They are all speaker outputs, you need an input that supports 5.1

Can I get an amp and different speaker cables to fit the amp ? Will that solve the problem ?
