Hook two tvs to one dish hd receiver

I currently have directv. I have two tvs hooked to one SD box (one with s video and one with coax). This sends the same signal to both sets.

If I get a two room HD setup from Dish, can I do something similar? The tvs are just a few feet from each other

You can use an HDMI distribution amplifier that will split output for both TVs. Sometimes this can be problematical but works most of the time. You will find that the price range for these is very very wide for that reason. If you can pick one up locally that can be returned it might be more convenient. You will also need 3 HDMI cables.
