Solved! Hook up Dvd/Vcr to smart Tv

I hooked up my Vcr/DVD combo. Funai model DV220FX4A to my Vizio model E50-D1. The red white and yellow cables are hooked up to DVD/VCR on the back of the player and the red yellow and white on tv are connected to composite. The DVD works fine but the vcr picture is jumping all over the place. I tried tracking and it didn't help or I lost signal all together. Tried running a cleaning tape thru but did not help either. Any suggestions?

Does the VCR picture jump even if no cassette is inserted?

the VHS cassette might be the culprit or the VCR internals, like the video heads or belts or electronics
