hook up Samsung BluRay player to LG Soundbar with Optical cable

I have an LG Soundbar that the only ports are 2 optical inputs, and an audio port for like an mp3 player. I have successfully hooked the soundbar up to the TV through the cable box and Optical Cable, however I want sound from the DVD - which does not have an optical cable output, only 1 HDMI (which currently goes to the TV) and a coaxial. How do I do this. I thought I could use the TV like a receiver, but no optical output on the TV??

If your BD player has no other outputs than HDMI then you can use one of these to extract the audio from the HDMI:

or get a player with optical output.

Just get a coaxial to optical adapter similar to this Digital Audio Coaxial SPDIF Coax to Toslink Optical Digital Converter and then you can connect your dvd to the sound bar,

So - this product is online only (which is fine - but I was hoping to see it, as clearly I am so tech savvy) - based on what is available online, the digital co-ax port is an "out", same as the DVD player - what type of cable can I use to connect the two? Despite it being called Coaxial, its not like TV Cable coaxial unless there is a different piece that goes on the end? hopefully this is a simple fix too?
