Solved! Hooking up soundbar, tv, surround sound rear speakers

I am trying to hook up a new LG TV to a Yamaha soundbar and rear speakers from a surround sound system. We have a Sony surround sound system with 3 front speakers, a DVD player, subwoofer and 2 rear speakers. I want to replace the front 3 speakers with the soundbar but still keep the rear speakers hooked into the system. Is this even possible?

SB, followed closely by those HT things are sold and work as a SET, not intended nor have the facility to be mixed and matched at wimp.
