Hooking up soundbar with HDMI out to a Non arc TV with XBOX one

So I bought a soundbar with hdmi in and out but my Tv doesn't have arc and I'm using an Xbox one.

Is it possible to hook things up via hdmi in and out still without arc and if so, what goes where?

Wo ARC, the only way to get surround out of the TV is via a Toslink or SPDIF (a coax version of Toslink). If stereo-only is acceptable then TV headphone out to soundbar AUX/LineIN (I hope it has them).
