If you want to use the phono preamp in the Kenwood instead of the internal one in the AVR then connect the record out of the Kenwood to any input other than phono on the AVR.
If you want to use AVR as a stereo amp with the Kenwood then you can remove the jumper between the preamp out/main amp in on the Denon and connect the Kenwood main out to the main in. You will only get stereo this way.
