Solved! Horizontal strips wash over Chromebook screen when touched/adjusted

Green/blue static-y horizontal strips wash over Chromebook screen and the screen dies - but the chromebook is still working.

If it's in the middle of playing a video, I can hear the video still going but the screen is dead and blacked out. I just have to close the laptop lid, then re-open it gently, and the screen is on again. And because it's been slightly useable, just really inconvenient, I've not bought a new one. And can't afford it :'(

I have an HP 13 chromebook from 2019, and it's been happening since 2020, more so now. Usually this weird screen occurs after I adjust my chromebook screen at the edges (oddly it doesn't happen very much if I adjust the screen from the area near the webcam?). It sounds really odd, but I've been casually searching for answers for months now, but because of its odd nature have found nothing.

Trying my luck here! I have pictures of the process happening... but don't know how to place it within the post. Here are links:

Solution
Sounds like a connection issue. Could be a problem with a loose connector (easy to fix) orbad solder joints (less likely but very hard to fix). Have you noticed the problem getting any worse over time? It likely will. You may need a new display board. If you can find a good repair shop, that is your best bet.
