How can I block someone from sending me a friend request?

I know some of these people but I just don't want them on my page. I don't want to block them, just blocking them from sending me a friend request, how do you do that?

Is there a difference? If you block someone, they can't send you a request and can't see your profil. Just block them, whats the problem?

The different is the OP don't want to let the "some" of these people know they are not wanted. If you can't request, then is NOT the OP. But if you block, those people would know too because it not accepted.

Facebook also provides an options, select Click "No" on the message asking whether you know the person outside of Facebook. This person will no longer be able to send you any friend requests.

You can block anyone on Facebook using the option under the cover photo by "message" button.
