What are you calling a password? The information the tablet needs to connect to the router is the wireless security key.
A router's password is the one required to get into the settings.
Sorry if this sounds patronisingly basic but you'd be surprised the number of folks who make this mistake.

That means you are putting in the wrong password. Make sure you are connecting to the right WiFi signal first. If you are, check one of the other wireless devices, delete the connection on it, try to connect again. If that also gives you an error, go to the Router setup page and set the WiFi password again so you know what it is.
