How can I delete numerous text messages from my Galaxy 3 in the "Phone" folder?

I am trying to delete text messages from my Galaxy 3, and I can't figure out how to delete numerous messages and log that is stored in the phone folder. I can one at a time, but I am thinking there has to be a way to delete the entire log at one time.

Relax buddy try this one;

Go to Messaging/Message
Press Menu button and select all messages to delete.
When done go to Settings.
Select Applications
Select Manage Applications.
Select All (on top menu)
Select Messaging / Message
Select Clear cache and Clear data

data and cache is recommended ! Good luck
