how can i find out whats wrong if i plug my charger in and it dont charge

when i plug my charger in it shows that its plugged in but its not charging

either a broken wire near the plug that fits into your device (not so bad) or the device's socket is damaged (bad).

do you have a multimeter?

Faulty power supply
Faulty battery
Faulty charging circuit
Damaged cable or socket
