How can i get digital channels on my tv

I have basic cable and an older HDTV that doesn't receive digital channels. How can I get these channels that all my newer flat screens get or can I?

You cable company should be able to provide you with a converter. Check with them to see if there is a monthly fee. If so, ask if you can purchase your own.
