How can I get dolby digital too play through games?

computer Works fine with any other files that have dolby. except for any games I've read I may need a sound card addon if so could anyone refer a decent one? the audio is ran via hdmi 2.0 from my video card Gigabyte GTX 750 Ti to reciever onkyo 1030

I don't game, but I doubt you need a soundcard. Are u sure this game ur playing outputs TRUE surround? or does it really output stereo only and expects you to... configure your own sound system to play on all speakers?
