how can i get pictures off a samsung SCH-U460 when the screen wont turn on

this is an old phone and it hasn't been able to turn the screen on for a while. we since have gotten a new phone, but these pictures are VERY important. the screen is just black but the backlights turn on. it has a micro sd port, but I cannot access the settings without the screen. is there any way of getting these photos?

If you can't get the display to give you access, and the files weren't backed up to a google account, SD card or computer, then the only way to get them is to have the device repaired.

Most devices require you to hit/tap certain things to access or move files. So even if you connected it to say a computer via USB cord, it is likely you won't be able to access the data, as you would need to tap the prompt that would be on the devices screen.
