Solution J J jay32267 Jul 5, 2018 If you have an optical out or an analog out on the TV you don't need a converter If you don't, you need a converter. The type of converter depends on what type of audio outputs you have on the TV. Although here's something you can probably do. Come out of the headphone jack with a 1/8" stereo to RCA adapted cable and then to the receiver. This will work but may disable your TV speakers.
