1.Manually opening a tray-load drive to retrieve a disc
- Look for the small hole on the faceplate of the drive. This is the manual release hole. The location of the manual release hole will vary.
- Straighten a paper clip to use in this step:
_Press in gently on the paper clip until the tray is released.
_Releasing the lock will allow the tray to open a small distance.
_Remove the paper clip and gently pull out the drawer until the disc is accessible.
_Remove the disc from the tray.

2. You can also remove the DVD drive all together from the laptop by removing the one screw at bottom of the laptop that is securing it , then connect it to a power source through it's MINI-SATA power connector then just push the eject button and release the DVD rom,.
