how can I restore compaq presario laptop to factory settings when f11 isnt working?

I have a compaq presario cq60 and I want to restore it to factory settings. I continually press F11 when I turn it on but nothing happens except windows starts normally. What can I do?

hi Nikolay. My uncle gave me his old laptop for christmas and he had installed over the original windows vista, windows 7. He did the installation himself and he says he did not save the recovery partition. Can I retrieve it from his previous OS? What can I do?

If it`s custom install - nothing you can do but Clean Windows Setup
If no Recovery HDD partition left and no Recovery DVD created ....... you have no other option but Clean Windows Setup from DVD or USB.

After you log in look for HP Recovery Media Creation tool
Create Recovery DVD`s
Reboot & Boot from DVD and follow the Recovery wizard.

I do not know if you have solved the problem, but press fn and the f11 then it should work, the fn itself is like an on/off switch
