how can i setup 2 tv's in the same room using a 3 hdmi switch

I have a new 55' Vizio and i am trying to connect another tv to it using a 3 switch hdmi connetor. I have the second tv on the opposite side of the room with a cord running from the hdmi switch. I understand i will have to watch the same channel when working.

If you want to use both TVs at the same time, you need a splitter, not a switch.

You can't actually connect the TVs to each other. You would have to split the output of each source and send it to each TV or you could use an HMDI switch with 2 outputs to feed the same source to both TVs. If you use a matrix HDMI switch you could route each source to either or both of the TVs. With this arrangement they could play different sources at the same time.
