How can I use 3.5mm male-to-male to use my pc as audio output?

I want to listen to my phones pandora app on my laptop. I have looked up about it on the internet, but upnp apps either doesn't work or doesn't support pandora(I wasn't able to use any of them).
I have a 3.5mm male to male cable but when I plug it on my phone and laptop, they both accept it but no audio comes. Is there any software I can do this?
Realtek audio pops when I connect a cable, I chose all of the things it says, but still doesn't work.
What can I do? Thanks in advance.

You would have to make the stereo audio mono, and plug it into the microphone jack. That would probably sound bad, so you are better off with an app like pokki.

perhaps phone 3.5mm out to the mic 3.5mm input on pc and in settings enable "listen to this device" in windows. that is just about the only way.

Or, nevermind, probably won't happen, tried searching in speakers and devices, nothing came out.

its under recording devices since that is the mic input.

I didn't think of it as a microphone device. Anyways, I found and enabled, but sound doesn't play. Cable might be broken since i didn't buy a new one and I'm not sure about its condition.
