How do I choose playback device without enabling another display?

Hello Community,

I have my computer hooked up to my receiver via HDMI (which is connected to speakers and a TV).

Currently the only way I can choose my receiver as a playback device is to enable the receiver as a display in Control Panel>Appearance and Personalization>Display>Screen Resolution.

I would like to choose my receiver as a playback device without enabling another display. How can I do this? Is it possible?
