How do I connect a Yamaha sound bar to tv.

So I have myself a Yamaha ATS-1010 Sound bar, and have absolutely no clue how to hook it up to my tv. There's no hdmi, there's no audio component ports, nothing. Not even a USB port. I'm not sure, but I think I have something called a Toslink port and the cable for it but I'm not sure. Here's a pic I found of the ports it has, though the diagram doesn't apply to me since I don't own a cable set box or DVR. Without the make and model of your TV I can't say for sure.
The soundbar has 2 optical and one coax digital audio inputs. Optical audio output is the most common on TVs.
You may have to turn the optical audio on, turn the TV speakers off, and change the audio output type in the TV menu to get it to work.

my 1080i tv has a 3.5 mm port, hdmi, rgb, and regular rca ports. No optical port. But by Christmas I should have a more modern LCD TV, so not sure what that will have.
