How do I connect my Emerson tv to my technic reciever no hdmi on reciever or optical on tv

Looking how to connect my ps3 to surround sound reciever no hdmi on reciever or optical on tv Emerson t.v techincs reciever I have surround sound through t.v but not ps3 also have direct t.v box

To clarify you have the TV audio output connected to the Technics receiver so it's working for the DTV box but not for the PS3 that's also connected to the TV?
You can try changing the audio output type in the PS3 menu.
You can use an optical cable directly from the PS3 to the receiver.

All the sources go directly to the TV.
TV has headphone jack. Receiver has RCA analog inputs. You just need a cable to connect them.
Change the audio output type of the PS3.

I have the direct tv box connected hdmi cable to tv I have the ps3 connected to tv through seperate hdmi cable I have the t.v surround sound working with s-video rca cord to reciever tv/dss from direct tv box how do I run the ps3 to tv and reciever ? The reciever is technics model # sa-ax530 the tv is Emerson model # Lf501em5f please help
