how do i connect my lenovo flex 15 combo jack to audacity

I hv a problem . im trying to turn my combo jack headphone / mic input to a line in which plugs into my mixer and decks but not succeeding, normally I would do this by muting the boost button on the mic and selecting the mic on the sound card but its not working,,,,i record thru audacity

You may have to get a USB audio line input device. Something like a Behringer UCA202 ....
