How do I connect my speakers to my sound bar, while hearing audio from the two simultaneously?

I have some simplistic Samsung speakers (left and right) and a Logik sound bar, the sound bar is connected to my TV with an optical cable. The sound bar has a L & R jack as if for speakers, however when I connect my speakers to the sound bar through that jack, no sound comes from the speakers. So to recap I want both the sound bar and the speakers to work at the same time, however they won't, any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Thanks

Probably the L/R are in, and not out. The only option that I see is adding an optical audio splitter and then an optical to analog converter.

You will have to adjust the volume of the speakers and soundbar with each remote every time to change the volume. Will be a pain. Might sound worse too. I would suggest using whichever sounds best. You won't get surround sound just confused sound.

I had the same issue. Because I didn't see another solution I opened up the sound bar and connected my separate speaker s/wires to the right and left internal speakers. To make it more seamless I drilled small holes through the plastic sound bar case in the back to route the wire through.
