How do I connect my Verizon LG phone to my gateway plasma tv that isn't a smart tv

My tv isn't a smart tv how do I use my phone which is a Verizon LG to stream movies. I'm not that computer Davy.

You will need to purchase some sort of streaming device.

Your phone might support MHL, which is basically an special cable which connects your phone directly to your TV' HDMI port. Another option, as @Reynod suggested, is to use eg Chromecast.
