how do i enable the mic on my hyperx stinger on my mac?

is there a separate program to use on a macbook to enable the mic on my stinger to work since the only option is to use built-in mic on my mac?

No, for a device with a 4-pole connector either it works with the Mac or not.
A few questions to clarify the issue:
1) Does the Stinger work with any machine you try it with? With a friend's Mac? A Windows or Android device? Believe it or not, there are two standards for wiring those. Well, three, but two of them are identical.
2) What model Mac do you have?
3) Has that Mac worked with any 4-pole headset?
