How do I fix my voice dialer

I have a galaxy s2 skyrocket. The voice dialer (the one nobody else likes) worked great. I let google update to google now and the new dialer will not get the right contact. The old one, with a long press on my bt headset, said "say call, followed by a name or a number", then after I spoke, it said "do you want to call ....? say ok or cancel". I uninstalled updates in the google app, but that didn't work. I've talked to att and samsung, but they didn't know what to do.

Forgot to mention - not sure what os was in the phone when I got it in Dec. 2012, but I think the dialer was different. I updated to jellybean early in 2013 : 4.1.2
