So I was recently infected with a virus. I managed to get rid of all the popups it gave me by running multiple scans which deleted most of them, however I still have this smart search virus. No matter what I try I still can't get rid of it.
I am using Firefox, and I go into the settings and delete all the search engines except for Google (which is the one I want to use) and it works until I close the browser. Once I open Firefox again, it continues to use Smart Search.
I am at a loss of how to get rid of it as it seems nothing is working. I am about halfway through doing a full scan of my computer with Microsoft Security Essentials hoping that this will help get rid of it, but if not I was wondering if any of you know how to get rid of it, or can point me in the right direction.
