I am having a hard time hooking up my Sony DVD Player to the Insignia TV. How do I do this?

What model is the DVD Player and TV

HDMI is your best option if you have it on both the DVD and TV.
Component video+audio is the 2nd best option.
Composite video+audio is the worst option.
Your TV may have a shared component/composite video input, Check the owners manual on how to use and set it correctly.
