How do I play a DVD on my Toshiba computer?

How do I play a DVD in my Toshiba computer? I have inserted the DVD, but nothing happens. I can feel that it spins at first.

Depending on which operating system you have installed, you probably need some type of third party software in order to play DVD movies. Your best bet is probably going to be VLC Media Player.

Thanks Wolf...I've Windows 8.1 and when i insert the golf dvd, the Toshiba Video play launches in a window but don't get the GO arrow to start it.
