Question How do I reset to Factory Settings Toshiba Satellite Pro.

I reset laptop press F12 it then asks for a password (nothing else). Once I enter that it just proceeds to power up to the main windows screen and then ask for user name and password. Which I cannot get past. My father has had memory loss (last 10 years wiped out 😞) and he cannot remember anything about it. Any advice would be great. Thanks

Toshiba has a bad habit of putting in a password just to get into the machine. Did you use the one that should have been for Windows?

No I had to make one up and then that got me to normal log in. Which o have no idea and my dad can't remember anything
