How do i reset toshiba C55D-B5319 to factory without cd and holding 0 doesn't work

When I turn on computer I get a message that says We could not complete updates,undoing changes ,don't turn off computer

You can only reset if you have either a backup partition on the hard drive, or other means of reinstalling the OS and other files.
