How do I restore Beats audio driver to my HP Envy 17t laptop?

I update my OS from 8.1 to Win 10 and then subsequently updated to the anniversary edition. My Beats Audio controls disappeared and the sound is now very muted and flat from the enclosed speakers. How do I restore a driver that will return the Beats functionality?

I have downloaded the latest IDT driver software for my laptop and it does not include the Beats control panel and the sounds remains soft and flat.

There is another discussion in this forum on this subject that was closed August 25, 2017 which has several options. Unfortunately none worked for me. I followed an HP Support site's instructions and it worked. Below is the link... Good luck!

You may also have to do an install in compatibility mode if the equalizer does not work after your fix..
